    OK this is tricky....
So... I have been checking out other forums and how they're created and a majority (the professional ones) use VBULLETIN. It seems to be a very expensive yet very well developed/professional/packed program that let's you maintain databases, forums, etc. But one thing to watch out for is the damn sql injections :/ I see forums get injected successfuly far too many times. Hell even government websites are vulnerable. For examples I've seen someone hack Thailand's website before and get control panel access :/ fucking amazing how people are when they're bored and know sql.

    ANYWAY

Ok so yea for senior projects there are 2 parts, a research paper of at least 7 pages, and fieldwork that includes an oral presentation to a panel of judges.

For the essay, I wrote about why file-sharing should remain legal even with so much piracy. We had two separate due dates for the 2 halves, I did both the night before and attributed things to sources incorrectly. I was the only person in the entire school who got 100% on it.

For my fieldwork I used Blattner as my mentor and learned C++. He didn't really give a damn so I just started turning in the assignments in C++ and...

    3 diff operating systems too
I have Windows Vista, TinyXP, and Mac OS X Tiger.

I used to have linux (and many versions of it) on my netbook but then realized fuck it I'm a gamer/windowsprogrammer. So i switched to TinyXP (because I have a 4gb ssd i couldn't fit anything bigger than a 256mb ISO image on it)

    Hm

First main computer is a Desktop which has a

intel core 2 quad Q8300 series 2.5ghz processor with.. i believe 6mb cache (or 4... not sure)

    7200rpm 1tb harddrive
7200rpm 750gb harddrive (secondary, and is significantly faster because it's less used)

or tech nerds for that matter
I often see situations where programmers are thought of as tech support. But in reality a programmer... is just a programmer. S/He doesn't even need to know how a printer works or how to even use a printer for that matter. What might a non-techy think of a programmer at first glance?
