One could very well memorize a speech in a foreign language and be able to give that speech without having any idea what they were saying.

If I were to say that someone had 'barked' at me, I don't necessarily mean that they actually barked, while you may know what the word barked means, you may not know what saying that someone 'barked' at me means.

Well ok I missed the point but my point is now different. On that forum it started off with things like furries and degenerated into things like developing and gaming, kind of a reversal from this.
