IT'S PERFECT.

My netbook specs:


1.6ghz intel atom processor
1gb ddr2 ram
4gb ssd drive


boot time: LESS THAN 30 SECONDS


fast? yes

no bugs

no difficulties

not as bare as one would think it is

GET IT FOR YOUR NETBOOKS!

hers my specs
intel atom
like 1.66 ghz
2 gigs ram
160 gb hard drive

xp + linux

once i fix the boot loader.----still need to find out how to edit filles in linux
it'll boot (autonomously) xp in less than 30 sec

so whats the big deal

What are you trying to do with the bootloader and is it GRUB?

yes

im trying to change the default option from 0 to4

so that it'll start with xp highlighted

i boot it a couple times in a row it'll do a countdown and auto xp

Find your menu.lst file and edit it replacing the boot option from 0 to 4 then... Oh and keep in mind spacers count as a boot option.
