lol I am really hoping for Microsoft to rebound on this and kick some legal ass and still sell Word but if that doesn't happen... what will happen to us? Will we be reduced to buggy copies of OpenOffice?

or even worse, will iWork finally start selling?

From reading the article it doesn't sound like it is all that big a deal. I was hoping that it would really have been the end of Microsoft Office.

Yeah, On my windows pc I'm using Open Office. On my mac I have word but avoid it at all cost

I've Word (a pretty old version) on my desktop, but I'm too cheap to buy it for my laptop so I just use Open Office. Actually, I use notepad and FBIDE (an IDE) more than word....

I have notepad open more than any other program...

Eh, Firefox is my number-one open program, but notepad comes pretty close.

Explorer.exe is my number one open program. (I DO NOT mean iexplore.exe That's my "longest time since using last" program) I'm pretty sure that explorer is all windows users' number one open program

Haha it doesn't count, technically its a "utility" because its part of the OS. But still yea its used a lot even though most people have never heard of it, that makes me sad sometimes...

explorer.exe is practically the entire operating system for anyone who doesn't know as much as we do about computers. . .

Oh, I know I once accidentally removed explorer from startup when I can making some changes to my computer... I was like, WHAT'S WRONG??!?! WHERE IS EVERYTHING?!?!?!

Never had it fail to start but I have closed it quite a few times (some times on purpose, sometimes not) luckily its pretty easy to start again. (for us)

How do you remove explorer from startup anyways? msconfig wont do it as far as I know...

I probably have every version of Word that has come out (as far as I know).

I use 2007, but I hate it, because they re-arranged EVERYTHING, and it takes me forever to find a simple function.
