FRAPS
is the video recording device I use to capture all of my game play. It runs smoothly in the background and has super high quality shots. But be warned it will rape your hard drive. At full resolution, 30FPS it only gets about 4 minutes of footage in 4gb
At half resolution it is about double the time for that much storage.
I usually record in 25-30FPS with half resolution and it works out just fine. I need about 30gb of hd space PER game so that kinda sucks, but whatever I have a lot of space anyway.
