Parkour

How do you land while jumping off 6ft + objects? and what is vaulting

Rolling and falling well, and hard to explain but getting over objects basically.

Parkour and martial arts are completely different...

Are you doing it as a straight jump?
If so, then you can start trying this. You can incorporate it in a kong if you wanted to, but I would learn this one first, then.

when your in the air:
extend your arms back
fold your legs up into a crouching position
bend your back down somewhat

when landing:
stretch your arms out to your sides (like walking a tightrope)
un-bend your legs and point somewhat forward.
when you land, bend your knees to absorb some of the blow from the impact.

and... you've got a legit parkour move (precision jump)

I still don't want to try the kong. Later, for now I'm going to try to vault off higher objects because I find that my weakness is vaulting. I suck at jumping stuff. I found a great place to practice though, on ... I think it's Doran and pacific. There's a small parking lot there with white walls about 4ft high to play around with.

The secret: Don't think about it. Just stop thinking, and let the natural instinct to crazily jump over stuff take over. Jump all flawlessly and fluidly, then when you're done act like it never happened. Go back to your normal uncoordinated self

OR if I do that I'll just end up breaking something. Plus I've tried similar jumps and I still don't have the arms for it. Give it a week.
